Aash Ashitha is an acclaimed journalist and author. An active contributor to noted publications, her works have been translated into English as well as German.

Mushroom CatsJenniferum Poochakannukalum and a translation of the Kannada work Mohanaswami are some of her most acclaimed publications. Aash Aashitha currently serves as the Deputy News Editor of The Times of India. She is a new name in Malayalam literature today. Her prominent works are the short story collection ‘Mungankuzhi, Jenniferum Poochakannukalum’ and the novel ‘Mushrooms and Cats’. She has also translated Kannada gay author Vasudhendra’s ‘Mohanaswamy’ into Malayalam.

Aash Ashitha writes regularly for several periodicals, publishing stories and poetry. She has been bestowed with prominent awards such as the Kairali-Atlas Literary Award and the T.M. Chacko Master Literary Award. Her poems have also been translated into English and published in the Redleaf Journal, whereas the German translations have been published in the journal STRASSENSTIMMEN (Street Voices). Based in Bengaluru, Aash Ashitha is the Deputy News Editor at The Times of India. She has previously worked for Deccan Herald and The New Indian Express as well.
